Love the holiday...most years the weather turns out pretty decent, so it's a sort of welcome to Spring day. Plus my family (immediate and extended) all get together for dinner. I love it! The free candy isn't so bad, either. ;)
I ended up wearing a really cute outfit, too! I totally forgot, in my haste to find an outfit, that the "Easter Bunny" leaves my siblings and I each some sort of Spring-y clothes or accessories. This year I got a super cute white hat (need to find something to wear with it!) a pink/peachy v-neck tee and a really pretty floral print blue-white-and-pink scarf. I paired it with a pair of pale blue pants I already owned that just-so-happen to match the scarf perfectly, and voila! One awesome outfit for Easter! Here's a pic of me from earlier today:

So this year was a little different. Not much, but a little. This is the first year I hid the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt instead of looking for them. And don't say I'm too old for egg hunts, because nobody's EVER too old to go on a competitive search for candy-filled plastic eggs. Ever.
It felt weird, though...like just one more thing to add to my list of "Things I've Outgrown" along with playing in the Play Place at McDonald's and having recess. Why don't they have recess in High School anyway? Or college for that matter? It would make the whole day so much more bearable, don't you think? My lil sis Skye is reading this over my shoulder and says "I can't believe this is my second-to-last year of having recess!" I hear ya, sis. I miss it all the time. :(
Anyway, today was a pretty great day; here's hoping tomorrow will be even better!

Seeing you called me awesome--you can have the recipe for the vat of bean dip!
